  • Razimbo – String Group

    Razimbo – String Group

    £7.95

Includes PDF + audio backing track

Originally inspired by African a cappella singing, this piece grew out of a title-naming competition I held with my own string group. “Razimbo” was born — later imagined as a tiger, complete with fitting song words! Written in a swing style, the piece opens with a slow, unaccompanied introduction before bursting into a fast, punchy and jazzy second section driven by syncopated rhythms. A real winner with both players and audiences.

  • Sad Waltz – String Group

    Sad Waltz – String Group

    £6.50

Includes PDF + audio backing track

A highly approachable piece, ideal for opening a concert and settling early nerves. It begins with four bars of unison open strings, setting a secure foundation, while rhythms remain simple throughout and no slurs are required. Frequent dynamic changes add interest, and the contrasting middle section encourages expressive playing, with crotchet movement bringing a gentle sense of momentum.
