The book begins with an in-depth explanation of how sharps work on the violin – and later, flats. Violin students are then introduced to new finger positions, keys, scales and arpeggios as well as 3rd position. Each lesson is clearly laid out, with colour-coded note charts, making it easy for students to follow at home or in lessons and motivating the learner to explore on their own.
