Description
Studio Licence – Technique Set for Cello (Top Ten)
This annual studio licence provides teachers with a practical and economical way to use the complete Top Ten for Cello series with multiple pupils.
Four books containing forty sets of ten short exercises — 400 focused technical studies in total.
The Top Ten Complete Technique Set offers a structured yet adaptable framework for developing strong instrumental technique from the earliest stages through to more advanced study. Each set focuses on specific technical skills through deliberately short exercises (typically two to six lines), allowing students to concentrate on coordination, control and sound rather than extensive note-learning.
Techniques are introduced clearly and revisited in progressively more demanding contexts, helping players build confidence, accuracy and consistency over time. Each set concludes with a short “No. 10” study that brings the techniques together in a satisfying musical context.
Detailed contents lists make it easy to target specific technical areas, allowing teachers to dip in wherever needed. Exercises can be repeated, revisited or adapted as required, making the series equally useful for structured studio teaching, independent practice and adult learners seeking purposeful technical work.
Light-hearted stick-figure illustrations highlight physical movements while keeping technical work approachable, and optional metronome challenges offer a way for students to develop control and consistency further.
The exercises can be used alongside any tutor or repertoire, making the series easy to integrate into existing teaching methods.
⭐ Excellent value: purchasing the full set individually for just two pupils would exceed the price of even the Solo Teacher studio licence, while the licence allows teachers to use the materials with multiple students throughout the year. From the second year onwards, renewals are priced 10% lower.
